MLB.TV is far and away the best sports streaming service that we’ve tried. The software and product are both great.

The notion of a team’s “home region” is overreaching. For example, I’m a Braves fan. I can’t watch Braves games on MLB.TV anywhere in Georgia, the Carolinas, or North Florida. It’s probably the same for Tennessee and Alabama, but I haven’t personally tried there. The idea is that if you’re in the home region for a team you should be able to see the game on the team’s TV station on cable or satellite. The problem is that you have to have cable, which kind of defeats the purpose for having MLB.TV.
